A cute free printable for the wonderful teachers in your life…commissioned by my good friend, Ella. She used it as an adorable label for a mini-cake box, but it would look great with any “sweet” gift. Scale up or down for your needs–just print and cut-out. Enjoy, and be creative!

FREE Template: LOVE banner

I have recently remembered that I love giving away free templates…I know, it’s been far too long. Here is a little something for your last-minute Valentines decor.

The Love Banner. It takes about 5 minutes to make but adds a quick pick me up to the {dreary} February weather. I am making some of these for friends for Valentines this year. :) Enjoy!

First, you are going to need a cute little helper…In this case, my 5 year old.

Let’s get started…

1. DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE HERE, and print on plain white paper.

2. Cut each sheet in half hamburger style. (Hopefully you speak my language, and know what that means, if not, cut in half the ‘fat’ way.)

3. Cut the long triangle (just follow the lines) for the bottom of the banner.

4. Stack together and fold back the top 3/4 inch.

5. Lay out BACKWARDS and get your spacing right. Lay out the bakers twine or ribbon.

6. Tape the bakers twine INSIDE the fold, then fold down and tape. (This keeps the individual banners from running-a-muck.)

7. Hang and enjoy!

{seen here on my ever-changing-fabric-frame. My fav.}

…………………..
P.S. Feel free to share the love, and track back here, if you please :)
P.P.S. I also make these banners in any custom color for weddings, showers, etc. $5. Just email art@heirloompaperie.com

FREE TEMPLATE: New Moon T-Shirt Iron-on Transfer

For all of you Twilight fans…like myself…here is a little treat for your frequent trips to the theaters this week :) Iron-on transfer to a white or light colored t-shirt (I used Avery brand transfers from Walmart). Prints on a full 8.5 x 11″. Looks extra fabulous on a mustard colored long sleeved.

*Hint: cut off as much negative space around the cliff and words etc. as you can.

Be the envy of all your groupies, or share if you wish.

P.S. I thought I was so clever last year when I “came up with this” but then I saw some on the internet last week. Bummer. Still cute though!

DOWNLOAD PDF HERE. {Remember to follow your iron-on instructions for reversing while printing.}

FREE Template Tuesday: By Order of the Queen

Posted by on Sep 1, 2009 in Blog, Freebies | 6 comments

Visit the New Heirloom Paperie Site!Did you know that a person’s brain tends to fall out during the last month of pregnancy and then continues to do so for about a month after the baby is born?

I just found that out.

Sorry I have not been sharing the freebie love lately, but I do not come back without a gift: I find myself asking my husband to do things quite a bit {read demanding}, so I thought I would make a subtle “honey do list” for him. This is perfect for wives, moms, the bride-to-be, or just about any woman. :) Just print on 8.5 x 11″ paper and cut down the middle.

Enjoy, it’s good to be back!

I know this is a little late (day of, hello.) But, I was frantically searching for a cute free card online for my father’s day gifts and couldn’t find a thing! Of course that will never do, so I made these and thought I might as well share….use them today, or archive for next year :)

{These are really simple, really quick, print and fold cards. 8.5 x 11, folded in fours. No cutting needed–just like the good old days of PrintMaster. Haha.}

I wanted to share a free Summer Invite Template. I am getting excited for the idea of summer parties, and I hope you can use this for one of yours! Maybe even a hip bridal/baby shower? Let me know how you will use yours!

Just print out (front and back are included) and cut down the middle lengthwise. Fold, write, send! -OR- do what I sometimes do and send it to your local Kinko’s and let them do the work :)

{Please forgive me for not taking a cute picture of a finished product, if I kept waiting for myself to do that, I wouldn’t ever post!}

FREE Template Tuesday: To-Do list.

Posted by on Feb 10, 2009 in Blog, Freebies | 8 comments

I have been hip deep in work these days (and not all of it was pretty, sadly.) The corporate world has needed my attention. However, I thought I might share with you a little to-do list template I made after reading one of my friends blogs. I have often thought about the concept “I can do hard things.” It makes me feel empowered. So, print yourself off a little list and remember that wise advice.

I should warn you, page one of the pdf is the ‘clean’ version of this template, page two may have a little cus word. My apologies. You choose which one best suits you :) Download here.

FREE Template Tuesday: Hearts and Love day!

Posted by on Jan 27, 2009 in Blog, Freebies | 1 comment

Last week was so busy! It has been so fun fulfilling your orders and hearing your comments :) I owe you my apologies for not posting a free template last week, SO here are 2 this week!!

Valentines Day is just around the corner, and I love giving {and receiving} yummy treats and love notes. I made these cute heart tags that you can either print on Avery 5294 labels, or just print and cut out. They would be super cute as a package seal, dangling tag or envelope seal–so many possibilities!

The next FREE template is a cute little name plates that reads “happy love day.” I plan on punching a hole on either end and stringing ribbon through the back and around a box full of goodies. I would love to hear how you might use these! {I am obsessing over Tiffany blue lately, can you tell?}

I am in the “host a dinner party every night” kind of mood. As such, I thought I would share some lovely place cards that I have made for our FREE Template Tuesday!

Just download the template here, open in Word, edit the names, print, cut, fold. Fantastic.

Each sheet makes 6 place cards with lovely golden swallows and steel blue calligraphy. I am somewhat obsessing over this font (and if you haven’t already downloaded it from Luzel’s blog, visit www.fonts101.com and search Albemarle Swash. {for some reason, I cannot link it}

So, let’s have a party! I’ll bring dessert.

FREE Template Tuesday: Thank You Cards

There’s something about a new year that make me so THANKFUL! What better time of year to send lovely correspondence to your friends and loved ones telling them thanks for the thoughtful gifts, or just for their company?

I just made these darling little notes to send out quick messages to my friends and thought I would share. Just print out on cardstock and cut right down the middle lengthwise (or as we say around these parts – ‘hotdog style.’) Fold in half and send :)

I love the inside of these because you can keep your sentiments short and sweet, or use the extra space at the top to write more!

Enjoy, and Happy {thankful} New Year!

FREE Template Tuesday: Birthday Mini-Banners

Posted by on Dec 16, 2008 in Blog, Freebies | 1 comment

Visit the New Heirloom Paperie Site!My son, Chomper (er, Will) just celebrated his 1st birthday! I made these fun mini banners and used them as center pieces and buffet decor, so I thought I would share them with you!

The pdf includes a sheet for a boy or girl, age 1-5. If there is a special age you need, just let me know and I would be happy to make it for you! (art@heirloompaperie.com) Just print out the sheet that you need, and cut along the dotted lines. I put them in name card holders that I got from a restaurant supply place, but they would also be cute strung across with ribbon for a banner.

Download here

They are just too cute to pass up, and FREE! Spread the news :)

I’m Candis Ellis, lead designer and founder of Heirloom Paperie. I have been working in the corporate world as a graphic artist for the last 7 years designing everything from websites and printed materials to marketing pieces {with the occasional wedding announcement or commissioned photography session…}

It didn’t take long to find what my passion was……I LOVE making beautiful things! I LOVE, love, love, photography! And I LOVE families and generations and TRUE MEANING in life. I have now combined all of my passions into this new branch of my design firm.

So…Welcome! I’m glad you are here :) Now let’s get on to the goods…
